Golden State Chefs Service policy

Proposed menus and tentative dates are not officially booked until the deposit is paid.

Once the deposit is paid, you are officially booked and agree to the service terms below:

Before the event:

To ensure a smooth cooking experience, please have your kitchen ready for the Chef's arrival on the cooking/event day. Clear as much counter and refrigerator space as possible, and empty the dishwasher if you have one. If you won't be home when the Chef arrives, leave detailed instructions on how to enter your home and a cell phone number where you can be reached.

On the day of the event/cook date, Chef Nate may be reached via text or phone call.

Minor ingredient substitutions may be made as needed due to the availability of seasonal ingredients

Disclaimer: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk

of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions.

Cancellation/Reschedule

To book a private event, a deposit is required. This deposit covers the estimated cost of groceries. Any leftover money from groceries will be credited to the final invoice. Please note that all deposits are non-refundable in case of cancellation. In the event of cancellation, the deposit will be retained as a credit towards your next event.

Guest count changes:

All modifications to the guest count must be communicated at least 72 hours in advance of event day. A 20% charge, in addition to the standard service fee per guest, will be applied. This fee is necessary to cover the costs of additional supplies, staffing, and groceries. All parties require extensive planning and preparation, which are very time-consuming. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for you.

Payments:

Event payments must be made directly to Golden State Chefs LLC via invoice payment. We accept all debit cards, credit cards, ACH payments, mobile wallets (such as Apple Pay and Google Pay), cash, check, money order, and Venmo.

Late payment fees will be applied and will accrue until paid.

Any amount due that is not paid may result in small claims litigation. If Golden State Chefs LLC requires attorney services, whether or not litigation is commenced, you shall pay the attorney's fees, expenses, and court costs in addition to the full amount due hereunder.
